OMBRA FESTIVAL 2026 EDITION | BARCELONA
Ombra Festival 2026 is built around the concept of Intentional Collapse: a visual exploration of fragmentation, imperfection, and controlled disorder. Inspired by underground publishing, DIY culture, and dark electronic music, the identity transforms the festival into a bold cultural statement beyond the event itself.

THE CHALLENGE
The 2026 edition required more than an evolution of the previous identity. It needed a conceptual shift that reflected the festival's growing cultural ambition while remaining unmistakably Ombra. The challenge was to embrace disruption and visual tension without sacrificing clarity, consistency, or recognition across dozens of applications.
MY APPROACH
I developed a visual system rooted in the aesthetics of independent fanzines, photocopied publications, and editorial experimentation. Typography becomes expressive material, grids are intentionally challenged, and compositions embrace layering, distortion, and interruption. Every decision reinforces the idea of Intentional Collapse, a system that appears unstable while remaining carefully orchestrated.
THE OUTCOME
The result is a distinctive identity that feels raw, immediate, and culturally grounded. Applied across posters, social media, merchandise, motion graphics, signage, and editorial pieces, the system creates a coherent experience that reflects Ombra's experimental spirit while strengthening its position as one of Europe's leading dark electronic music festivals.
